Sky (Hourglass)

Images generated by the Hourglass software
Variable dimensions
2026

The Hourglass software controls a camera and takes shots at approximately 30-second intervals. The pixels from the photographs are transferred to an image in the computer’s memory following a random path, evoking the grains of sand in an hourglass. An image is saved every 15 minutes, and after one or more days of image generation a selection is made, with the remaining images being discarded.
